Your Future Team
Join a tightly-knit team with end-to-end competence in systemizing, designing, developing, and testing new software features in the RAN Baseband. As part of the Product Engineering Unit RAN Performance in Business Area Networks, you'll contribute to the heart of our market-leading 5G RAN solutions and future 6G RAN innovations.
What you will do:
As a Software Engineer at Ericsson, you will be at the forefront of innovation, working on cutting-edge technologies that shape the future of telecommunications. Your role will include:
- Innovative Development: Dive into studies to gain a deep understanding of new feature ideas and how they fit into the broader telecom landscape.
- Creative Problem-Solving: Explore unfamiliar areas of the code-base, systemize, innovate, and design robust solutions.
- Hands-On Implementation: Craft high-quality software using C/C++ and bring your ideas to life.
- Testing and Continuous Improvement: Test your solutions rigorously and contribute to the evolution of our test environment and methodologies.
- Collaborative Excellence: Engage in complex bug hunting and work closely with your teammates to deliver exceptional results.
You will have the autonomy to shape your role based on your skills, interests, and level of experience, ensuring a fulfilling and dynamic career path.
The skills you bring:
We are on the lookout for passionate and driven young professionals who are eager to make an impact. You will thrive in our team if you:
- Hold an MSc degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Have solid experience in C/C++ and a strong foundation in embedded software design.
- Possess a solid understanding or curiosity of 5G and telecom.
- Demonstrate a consistent ability to deliver complex software solutions on time and with high quality.
- Exhibit enthusiasm, a strong "can-do" attitude, and a genuine care for contributing to a positive team atmosphere.
- Excel in both written and verbal communication.
Additionally, experience with Cloud Native design principles (microservices, containers, pods) and familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, Helm, Git, Gerrit, GitHub, Jenkins, Spinnaker, etc., will be highly valued.
